74 Days Of Me

Beginning my 2nd Foundation year I have decided to start with a project regarding myself, '74 Days Of Me'. I think it would be an interesting start to create self portraits daily by taking photographs, producing drawings, creating paintings or representing myself in some form of artistic medium through a series of work. I will produce 10 pieces of work a week, twice a day, Monday-Friday. I am fascinated to see how I see and represent myself through my own art work when depending on different factors within daily life e.g. the time of day I decide to draw, the mood I am in, and the different environments which will surround me at the time. Also, since I am producing two pieces of work a day relating to myself, for example, a photograph self portrait and a drawing, it will be interesting to see the comparisons and differences of how I look in photograph form to how I look when I am translating my own personal views of myself onto paper. I've decided that I will control the self portraits I produce based on daily decisions and methods rather than planning days ahead on what I am going to work with/from. This will give my project more of a natural form and a sense of realism.
